How Effective Are Condoms Really Against Hpv?

Posted in Uncategorized on Dec 31, 2009

I got HPV. ive only gotten 3 warts and getting them treated. But my question to anyone who has any idea is, how effective are condoms against hpv. i got one on my testes, so is that area now all infected? obviously, condoms dont cover that part and i would never want somebody to have to go through what i am going through right now.

It was long thought that condoms did not provide protection against the human papillomavirus (HPV), however findings from a recent study prove that condoms do provide some protection against HPV.
Tips for Reducing Your Risk of HPV
Along with using condoms, there are many things you can to to help reduce your risk of HPV:
Limit the amount of sexual partners you have. The more sexual partners you have, the more you are putting yourself at risk for contracting HPV.
Considering getting the HPV vaccine. Gardasil, the current FDA approved vaccine, is available to young women ages nine through twenty-six. It protects against two types of HPV known to cause cervical cancer and two types known to cause genital warts.

Condoms do not protect you or your partner from HPV. Of course it can give some protection.
But yes as you say the wart is on your testes. So therefore you could definitely give HPV to your partner.

lol ok I’m not trying to be a smart ***. but have you ever tried like wrapping saran wrap around the parts the condom don’t cover? i honestly thought about that…you know females can use plastic wrap like dental dams

Contact a doctor and ask. I think that answer would be more accurate than any of ours.
