I’m guessing you are fairly young and in this case, you are probably free and clear of ovarian cancer, but good for you for listening to your body.

Usually HPV is associated with cervical cancer. Cancer comes in stages from 1-4 and pre-cancerous stage called dysplasia.

Usually, you’ll be diagnosed with HPV and then be prescribed some antiobiotics or antivirals. If there is any sign of dysplasia on your cervix, they usually refer you to get a colpolscopy where a little snip of your cervix is nixed and examined.

After its examined, they determine whether or not you may need part of your cervix shaved or removed and if it’s more serious another course of action may be prescribed.

Don’t jump to cancer automatically. It’s definitely frightening to be thinking you’re sitting on a time bomb, but more times than not, these things are cleared up.

HPV can also be found anywhere else the penis has entered, so it may be wise to let your doctor know if you need a throat swab.

Good Luck. Try to stay focused on today and don’t jump into the future until you have a lot more information. Eat Well and exercise.

  2. HPV is not linked to ovarian cancer.

Abnormal cells of the cervix that are not treated or have not regressed are linked to cervical cancers.

HPV does not affect the ovaries.

Most often HPV of the cervix does not have any symptoms.

Visible genital warts are usually of a low risk HPV types…not linked to cervical or vulva cancer…but we often carry both low risk and high risk HPV types.

Your doctor will be able to recommend treatments and follow-ups…follow his advice.

    Good luck to you.
