I don’t want to have sex with my boyfriend because he has genital warts. Am I a bad girlfriend?
I love my boyfriend very much and we’ve had sex with protection. But recently I’ve just been really turned off to it because he has genital warts from a past relationship. (He only told me this when he had to because they had returned after three years.) Does this make me a bad girlfriend?

No this does not makes you bad.
Look after your and his health.
no he deserves it
Not, it just means your grossed out at his warts, i would be too!
NO! Who wouldn’t be turned off by a STD?
He should of let you known from before and why feel bad unless you want warts too.
no it doesn’t make you a bad girlfriend. my boyfriend had the same thing and ended up infecting me too but now we just work through it together. Just try to protect yourself as much as you can you can also try talking to him about taking some medicine to calm his warts to where it wont spread.
No, but you do realize that you could get vaccinated against HPV (the cause behind genital warts) and that he could be treated… You should encourage him to speak to his Doctor about it and you should speak with yours as well.
not at all.
you shouldn’t have to risk your body to this.
its not worth it anyways.
let him know that you care about your…. cleanliness down there…
and that you dont want to risk it
yes it does make him happier by having unprotected sex…
Absolutely not !
I would question his priority if he expects you to have unprotected sex with him at all given the fact he has genital warts.
No sex without a condom for him.Otherwise, start learning about genital warts and prepare your own little speech to tell someone you have genital warts.
It’s never a bad thing to want to take care of and protect yourself.
Learn from this….if the warts had not shown up just now…maybe you would have already had unprotected sex with him….then what?
Never have unprotected sex with anyone unless you intend to be with that person FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.
Good luck.
Why cant he have it treated? I dont think you’re being a bad girlfriend… you’re just concerned about your own safety.
nope it wouldnt make you a bad girlfriend. but if you support him or at least help him find treatment you can be called a good girlfriend. I work in a clinic called Women’s Health Services. We only deal with STDs and other female issues. Because of this we see a lot of patients with HPV. The cryo will not help with the external warts, but is a great treatment for the cervix. HPV used to be thought of as a lifelong STD, however it is now proven that 80% of people fight it off with their immune system. The best advice I have for you is to boost your immune system with diet, exercise, and vitamins. Wear condoms, but remember that warts can be spread just by the skin shedding onto your skin. Acid treatments should not hurt and are usually effective, however if the warts are irritated or too large there is the wartrol. it is a homeophatic relief that boosts your immune system to fight a certain condition. It is great. MOST IMPORTANT: Get your annual exams every year because HPV can turn into cancer.you can learn more about it here: http://helpforgenitalwarts.com/genital-herpes-treatment/ "
