Can you get genital herpes from masturbating because I have had it for a long time and Had no sexual contact.?
I usually masturbate a few times every 2 weeks and have had no other sexual contact other then that. I have genital herpes and I don’t know why.

If you only masturbating alone, then you have had no “sexual contact”. Sexual contact requires anothe person. I seriously doubt that you would be able to contract genital herpes without having sexual contact with anothe person.
You didn’t say if you are male or female. Maybe what you see on your genetilia is not herpes, but probably are calisouses, sores from too much friction. Just like you may get when your shoes are rubbing against the foot, and you get blisters.
Maybe give the little general a rest….

You can’t get it through masturbating with your self unless you touch a cold sore then touch your genitals with in seconds of touching the sore. Or if you masturbate with some one, they touch a sore then they immediately touch you.
If you have had no sexual contact besides masturbating by your self then it would be kind of tricky to get genital herpes since it’s usually passed on when you have sex with some one that has it.
