Posted in Uncategorized on Jul 07, 2010

A lady friend of mine don’t have any idea about genital wrats not until her boyfriend told her that he got infected by (HPV-genital wrats) through her because she’s the only one he had sex with..

Second question: If my lady friend has HPV-Genital wrats, what would be the best solution to cure the virus?

  1. Dr. T says:

HPV is the virus that causes genital warts. But not all people infected with the virus actually have warts… and some women who DO have the warts have them internally (where she cannot see or feel them.)

So yes, it’s absolutely possible (even common) for a woman to have HPV and not know it.

This particular family of viruses cannot be 100% cleared from the body. One may be able to manage outbreaks effectively. Anti-viral treatment may be required. Severe and resistant outbreaks can be treated surgically/burnt off. For mild cases, maintaining a strong immune system & good stress management will help prevent outbreaks.

But even when not currently in outbreak, the virus can still be transmitted through sexual contact. (Similar to HSV/herpes in this way.)
