Make sure you have your solution ready. This stuff really burns! I’m using it on my tattoo just started. Looks like a layer came off won’t know for sure yet. ✌️Crossed.
Ok update- this is my second application and it’s fading. I think three more uses my tattoo will be gone. FYI it’s on my wrist and it’s black ink letters.

I purchased this product for an old tattoo on my shoulder. To be clear, I bought it to FADE my tattoo, NOT to remove it, my intention being to cover it up eventually.
This product is not something to toy with, used incorrectly will cause severe burns and scars, causing more damage than intended. Please research thoroughly.

    1. Make sure you have all the items needed. TCA kit, neutralizer (you can use an at home solution, I chose to spend the $6), and I would highly suggest buying an eye dropper to make the dilution process easier.
    2. You’re going to want to dilute the TCA, 100% is very powerful. The suggested amount for tattoos is 50%, however I diluted mine to 25/35% being it is my first time. You can progress to stronger from there. There are instructions to dilute, but to make it easier, for 50% you use the same amount of water as acid; for 25% you use 3x amount of water to acid.
    3. Make sure you wash the tattoo to remove any oils. Use the q-tip to rub the the solution over your tattoo, I did mine pretty heavily. Once you’ve applied, you want to leave it sit for 4 minutes (as instructed by directions). This is going to burn, be prepared to bite your cheeks. Youll notice as you’re waiting that the tattoo is starting to “frost” over (exactly as imagined), this is basically burning a layer of skin. DO NOT leave on for excessive time, as this will lead to burning/scarring.
    4. Wash acid off with cold water, and apply neutralizer to negate any leftover acid. You will notice an immediate burning sensation and the surrounding skin will be very red. This is good. This means you have successfully completed a round of treatment. Basically mimicking a sunburn.
    5. The next few days, the spot will be very sore and tender and remain red. About the 3rd day, youll notice that your tattoo seems wrinkley, this is the start of the peel. DO NOT scratch or peel the skin, this will could lead to infection or scarring; let it take its course as it will take a few more days to finish peeling.
    6. Once the skin has peeled off, apply a triple antibiotic as the skin is very vulnerable. You will need to wait about a week for the skin to heal completely. DO NOT apply a new treatment right away as, you guessed it, more scarring!
    7. Once the skin has heeled, you can start another round of treatment, and hopefully, get the desired outcome.

I want to be clear, this is by no means a fast acting process. You are burning layers of your skin off to reach the level where ink is at. It takes time and patience and caution. I hope to post pictures of these steps eventually, but I am still in my process. I am on my first layer and haven’t noticed a significant change yet, but being it is a professional tattoo, the ink is deeper down.
Thanks for your time and I hope this answers any questions/concerns!

I have been to five dermatologists and have cystic acne scars I will post a photo and after trying every lower dose I am trying this 100 % TCA, I am a cosmetologist and have training. Day one is being posted today and I will update, last nights first application went well, not too bad of white to stinging, place face in front of a fan for 1-3 minutes. I used baking soda and water with hands to get off by patting face with hands only. I used Vaseline overnight, no pain when I woke up. Yeah 5/24/2016, so far a miracle…© Jackie Paulson
UPDATED on 5/25/2016: I did one light peel application on the 23rd. Today is the 2nd complete application TCA only peel. Does it burn yes! But I tried everything first. Results, YES. I left on for 3 minutes, then pat on baking soda and water to neutralize it. I then put Vaseline all over my face, and on and off put my face in front of a fan. Boy does that help! Mind you I am experienced at this and I am not a doctor or legally claim any results for you…I am sharing my experience only. My advice is to get it done or talk to a professional. © 2016 DAY 5 I am wearing black peeling finally, starting to love the fresh new skin. today is May 29 20106. Today is Day 6 am TCA Chemical peel 100% PEELING away already, yes seeing RESULTS finally.
