I know it’s very common to get genital warts so I’m guessing it’s high-risk in spreading it to him without protection. But what about oral sex and spreading it to his mouth? I heard this is uncommon but that doesn’t make sense to me, I figured this would be very common. I just want people’s educated answers and to hear from a couple that is in my situation and if they use condoms or have spread the disease to one another. Thanx!
Its really rare to spread hpv to the mouth…The the odds are about 1 in 100,000. Look up rrp( recurrent respiratory papillomas). Thats what it is called when you get the virus in the mouth. You should always use condoms until you are treated and in the clear for a good have a year. I dont know if you have told him or not…Its your business but honesty is always best. And also note that wearing condoms does not mean that your boyfriend won’t get the warts.
Genital warts is a skin to skin contact, and condoms won’t be able to cover the skin.
Just have him wear his boxers and through the hole in his boxers have him put on a condom and try to have sex that way.
Wearing boxers would remove the skin to skin contact and wearing a condom would protect him from warts on his penis.

There are 30 different types of the HPV virus and types 6 and 11 are spread to the mouth. Also, type 16 causes oral cancers. However, it is uncommon.
I help teach absinence classes for a teen center and we teach that all STD’s can be spread by oral, anal, or vagina sex. Some of them can be spread just by skin to skin contact. Talk to your dr to find out what is safe.
My advice: just don’t risk it. Don’t depend on statistics that you think fit what you WISH to be true…nothing is guaranteed. You wouldn’t want to spread it.
I really think it can be spread to his mouth… but even so, is he aware you have this condition… (I hope so) he may not want to do it anyway.
