Sleek design, good quality, January 11, 2009

It's plain, but sleek. This flash drive doesn't waste any space, unlike some of the awkwardly shaped ones out there. (Cruzer...)

I've had no problem transferring videos and songs on this; the transfer speed is nice, although I do not have enough experience to compare it to other like products.

One minor problem - the cap comes off very easily, and you can't clip it to the back while it's not in use. You'd better keep an eye on it.

I wrote a 1.5 gigabyte folder of .jpg pictures from my C drive to this HP flash drive at 7 megabytes per second. I read the same folder from this HP to my C drive at 17 megabytes per second. physically this HP drive is very small. seems like a sturdy plastic large-diameter hole for a lanyard to go thru. no lanyard is provided. the cap has not fallen off yet but the slightest tug pulls the cap off. excellent price.

These are great. Simple, quick, cheap, reliable, fast, and to the point. I had a couple 2GB HP flash drives that I just replaced with 8GB HP flash drives now that the cost has come down quite a bit. I like them because they are streamlined to be easily carried around on your keychain. If you always have your keychain in your pocket, like most people, then you will always have storage space on hand. I have two on my keychain. One is for PortableApps (google: PortableApps), which is a very cool way of being able to run your own applications (Firefox, OpenOffice, Media Players, IM's, etc) on other people's computers without having to install anything on their computer. It is completely "take everything with you". The other one is to boot into a live Linux that runs off the USB drive without touching a HDD. Especially useful when you need to use various utilities to fix someone's computer: such as HDD partitioners, boot loader managers, ability to mount an NTFS drive and replace a corrupted file that is preventing their Windows from loading, text editing, etc, etc.

Like others have mentioned, the cap does not fit on the drive very tight so it will only be a matter of time before it gets lost. Others have commented about using string (glue or drill a hole) to keep the cap from getting lost. I didn't even bother. I just took the caps off and threw them into a drawer somewhere. I just carry the drives on my keychain without the caps. They won't get damaged.

These USB flash drives also have a built-in LED that illuminates during data transfer, so you can be sure that there is no data being transferred before disconnecting them. This will prevent possible file corruption.

It would be nice if HP made these drives in different colors other than black, so you could color code them for your various uses.

These, obviously, aren't secure (encrypted) USB flash drives, so if you are looking for something that you plan on using with sensitive information (and the possibility of it getting into the wrong hands), look elsewhere.

There's something cool about knowing about a band before most anyone else does. The members of Live put out an album under a different name before Mental Jewelry, but this disc was the first introduction I or any of my friends had to them, back in 1992. It's one of the few albums I still listen to consistently from that time.

From Pain Lies on the Riverside to Operation Spirit to 10,000 Years (Peace is Now), the lyrics hooked me immediately. From a lyrical standpoint I compare Mental Jewelry to early U2--not subtle, occasionally awkward, but no less powerful for all that.

It has been interesting to see Live's development through their subsequent albums, but Mental Jewelry will likely always remain at the top of my personal list from them.

Correction of Reviewer, January 30, 2004

The reviewer from 11/14/03 said, "This album put Christian rock on the map." I have been a fan of Live for nearly a decade and I can assure you, as can any true fan, that Live is not a Christian band. From what I've gotten from Live's music is that life can be a very spiritful journey. I think that Live and especially the lead singer Ed Kowlczyk has gone through a lot of spiritual changes throughout their time together, but they should definately not be catorgized as being of one particular religion.
A line from "Operation Spirit" says: "I heard a lot of talk about this Jesus, a man of love and a man of strength. But what a man was 2000 years ago, means nothing at all to me today." Now, I've heard Ed say that Jesus in this song could be replaced by most any spiritual icon and the point remains the same - Find the truths out for yourself, don't blindly follow.
Anyway, just my $0.02.

I can't say it any more straightforwardly than that. This album showcases Live at a pinnacle that, try as they might, they have not achieved with any of the 3 albums they put out after this one. Yes, Throwing Copper did spawn several major hit singles and sold millions of copies, but when speaking of pure musical power, it can not hold a candle to this album.

In these 12 tracks, the writings of Jiddu Krishnamurti find a deeply moving voice in powerful, superb music. Leading off the set is the mournful (yet uplfiting in its own way), and anthemic "Pain Lies On The Riverside". And as great as "Lightning Crashes", "Turn My Head", and "Run To The Water" (the most easily recognizable of Live's ballads) were, they sound almost flawed in comparison. Not to denounce them, they have their place among Live's better songs, but don't quite live up to the very song I'm referencing here, the heart-wrenching, power-drenched but sensitive and heartfelt "Brothers Unaware". Some might say Live distills too much the writings of Krishnamurti, and translates the message in too weighty, and over-bearing a format. Quite the contrary. For words with such grand scope and meaning, only the most powerful musical statements will suffice.

The talent for observations on the world as we see it manifests itself most notably with "The Beauty of Gray", urging listeners to recognize that for every dilemma, there is not simply an absolute right and an absolute wrong, that there is much more to it than that.

If this all sounds like too much for what you've come to know as Live's music (or music in general), worry not. These excellent songs stand as both a testament to Edward Kowalczyk's writings and as superb, well written songs which are fully worth listening to. As I said before, if you love Live, you owe it to yourself to hear them at the best they have ever been. Your ears will thank you for doing so. :)

This sauce is easy to make, but very mild (even weak) compared to other Noh sauces. I guess this is OK if you are looking for a subtle teriyaki flavor that doesn't smother your meat's natural flavor (like most American BBQ sauces do).

Simple as that. I am an avid player of the 3DO franchise games.
This series, including this program, is by far the greatest of any adventure series. The players helped create the game!!
THAT should say something. 6 brand new creature generators offer a nice variety.
Even a new Campaign editor feature.
YOU can be in even more control of the game than you ever have before.
I enjoyed this tremendously.
I would tell anyone i know to grab this.
Especially now that 3DO is defunct and this game will ,one day soon, become extinct.
Enjoy. I sure did.

I hadn't played Heroes IV in some time, so I picked up this expansion in an effort to rekindle a little interest. It worked well. The changes are subtle, what stands out most are the new campaigns. But this expansion, like the first, adds additional depth and dimension to an already enjoyable title.

Only downside really is the price, but I suppose that stands true across the entire industry these days. For those who can hold out a little longer, you can reasonably expect 3DO to release a 'Complete' version before Summer. Which would likely include both expansion packs and the base game for less than the two upgrades combined. Do a search here on Amazon for 'Heroes III Complete' for an example from the previous version of the title.

All in all, I personally found this to be a worthwhile purchase. I am enjoying the new campaigns and the new additions, the new creatures (like Dark Paladins) are terrific and powerful, and the fan-made single scenario maps are for the most part absolutely fantastic. I hope to see 3DO include these in the future.

I'm giving this 4 stars, with the only ding being on price.

- Six new Heroes® campaigns
- Three original fantastic creatures
