I’ve never had an abnormal pap smear but when I wanted to get the Gardisil shot, my doctor found that I already had the High Risk HPV infection and decided to do a coloposcopy. I’m so scared that I will have cervical cancer and not be able to have children. Please, anyone with some insight, help!
and can they keep giving them back to you?
I went to the ER and the doctor told me that I might have HPV because I have very small bumps around my cervix. Is there anyway that it could be something eles that can be cured?
I’ve been tested before for HPV and it was negative. I’m married and have been with the same man for almost 4 years. I’m 5 months pregnant and tested positive for HPV-16, but several of my friends had that happen as well during pregnancy. When they re-tested after delivery, the results were false and they actually did not have the infection.
Just finished my annual exam, and know that I’ve had unprotected sex. I went to a clinic and the doctor told me my cervix looked healthy and clean, but I am still worried about the results of my pap smear.
Even with a clean cervix, could hpv still show up in the test results?
