My girlfriend went in for her annual pap smear and it came up with HPV. The doctor claims that it is only a mild case and that he can hardly see any irregularity on the cervix. What are the chances of her developing any cancers or anything?? What are the steps taken to get rid of HPV for her case?
Just wondering if a normal std test will test for HPV. My girlfriend just received a letter saying she needs to come back to the obgyn for and tests maybe for HPV or mild dysplasia. But I have had several std tests all negative. Just wondering if i may have given her HPV without knowing I had it.

If my girlfriend had genital herpes and unknowningly infected me with it, an she got pregnant. Would our son/daughter be born with it?
also, do you have to take medication for the rest of your life if you get it? I think my girlfriend may have given it to me, Im getting tested this weekend though. Thanks for your advice.
