Help for Genital Warts

to clarify, is there a test to do at home to see if you could possibly have genital warts.
I’m concerned because last dec I slept with a guy who had bumps on his penis. they weren’t blisters like herpes, but large bumps. when I asked him about them he said that he had them since birth and that they were nothing. I hope they weren’t warts. i haven’t slept with anyone since cause I’m afraid I might have warts.

i have never had sex with anyone and i recently have found warts in my mouth.
is the HPV??
and how did i get it?
and can i get rid of it?

You need medical treatment; the warts (HPV) can be removed by surgery, cauterisation (burning it off), freezing or some ointments. You can however never be ‘cured’, so even when you do not show any warts, you will still be infected and can pass it on. Warts can recur at any time.

my girlfriend just found out from the health dept that she has genital warts should i be concerned about having oral sex with her

Yes. The same virus that caused the warts in the genital area can be transferred to the mucosal surface of the mouth and cause a similar effect.
